Our philosophy is quite simple, to serve our customers in a lovely environment with real food, that's freshly cooked and tastes delicious. If you come to The Farm Cafe and enjoy great food, a friendly welcome and want to keep coming back then 'making your day' just made ours too!
The Cafe partners, Karen & Vic, both had seperate dreams of running their own eateries. They wanted a change of work direction and to see if there was a market for traditional home cooked fayre in the local area. As Vic's family own the Garden Centre it seemed like a great place to start, and it appears the discerning customers of Berkshire are rather partial to the Cafe's rustic style of cooking. In fact the weekends get so busy the Cafe had to open an extended seating area just to fit everyone in!
The Cafe was also awarded its 5 Star Award for the local Council's "Scores on the Doors" scheme, twice in row. This gives an 'excellent' rating for Food Hygiene and Catering practices - it's something all the staff are really proud of.
We see many types of customers here at The Farm Cafe, everyone from families, to friends, to cycling groups, wedding parties, or even business people for their off-site breakfast meetings, its a lovely mix and means no two days are ever the same.
We can cater for many types of occasion or celebration too. So far we've seen:
Hen parties, Grooms parties, Wedding breakfasts, birthdays, anniversaries, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, kids football groups & the local judo team, we''ve even put candles on a breakfast for one man who was recently 70 years young!
Give us a call if you've got a special event, a big meeting or even a regular network or group and we'll certainly find a solution for you. With breakfast, lunch or just tea and cakes, we can cater to most foodie requests.
